2023 Travel to Cleveland

By Air

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE https://www.clevelandairport.com ) is served by around a dozen airlines including United, Delta, American, Southwest, and Spirit. It is located 12 miles southwest of downtown Cleveland, and a further 5 from University Circle, a distance that typically takes c.30 minutes to cover by road. There is no scheduled shuttle or bus service to the conference hotel or University Circle, but taxis, Lyft, and Uber are available at the arrivals level and clearly signposted (https://www.clevelandairport.com/parking-transportation )

Alternatively, the Cleveland RTA runs a rail service from the lowest level of the airport terminal to Little Italy/University Circle Station (3 minutes’ walk from the conference hotel) which costs $2.50, although you should allow an hour for this journey. Tickets can be purchased with cash at the airport ticket machine, or through the EZfare app –  https://www.ezfare.us . (See here https://www.clevelandairport.com/parking-transportation/public-transportation or here http://www.riderta.com for more details )

By Car

The simplest way to approach University Circle is from the I-90 Shoreway (exit 177, along MLK Jr Drive and Rockefeller Park), although whichever direction you arrive from, the hotel should take no longer than 20-30 minutes to reach from the freeway.

Valet parking only is available at the hotel, at a rate of $23/day. If you wish to park yourself, the Campus Center Parking Garage, Lot 29 ($10/day), is located behind Severance Hall, and accessed from East Boulevard. (There is a pedestrian exit much closer to the hotel than the main entrance.) See this map for these lots and all other parking options nearby https://case.edu/parking/garages-lots .

Travel during the Conference

All the conference venues and attractions on University Circle are within easy walking distance of the hotel, though for those with some limitations on mobility, a shuttle for short journeys is available on demand from the hotel.

Downtown Cleveland is accessible by regular RTA bus service (the Health-Line) that stops outside the hotel on Euclid Avenue.
