In recent years Cleveland has enjoyed a growing reputation for its dining, microbreweries, and nightlife. The largest concentration of restaurants and bars is on the Westside (Ohio City and Tremont) and in the Downtown area, but University Circle is also well served with restaurants for most tastes and budgets. In Little Italy, along Mayfield Road adjacent to the hotel, the restaurants have the charm and character of this historic neighborhood and serve mainly traditional Italian menus, although the best of them are somewhat more international in flavor. A number of moderately priced and more upscale establishments can be found on the university campus itself, while along Euclid Avenue to the northeast of the conference hotel, into the so-called “Uptown” district, most of the dining is aimed at students. Finally, for those who wish to venture slightly further afield into the eastern suburbs, there are a number of excellent restaurants a matter of minutes away by car. The following list is not exhaustive, but everything is recommended.
